Costumes from musical movies on display at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas...

In addition to all the other movie memorabilia on display at the Planet Hollywood Cafe in Las Vegas on April 7, 2011, there were also these costumes from famous musical and dance themed movies.

First up is this awfully 80's looking outfit worn by Jennifer Beals as 'Alex Owens' in 1983's Flashdance, where she starred as a woman with two jobs, a Pittsburgh welder and exotic dancer, in order to achieve her dream of getting into ballet school.

Michael Kaplan was Costume Designer on Flashdance and you can also see more of his costume designs in Burlesque, the 2009 Star Trek re-imagining and even Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
