White Knight armour from Alice in Wonderland on display...

Hard to believe that its been over two years since Tim Burton's vision of Alice in Wonderland graced the big screen in Disney's live-action adaptation of Lewis Carroll's famous and beloved literary character.

Here's the wonderfully intricate suit of armour worn by Mia Wasikowska as the titular 'Alice' for her battle with the Red Queen's forces and the fearsome Jabberwocky. This costume exhibit from the Walt Disney Archives was photographed on display at Disney Studios in Burbank, California on December 30, 2011.

Colleen Atwood won a prestigious Oscar for her costume designs in this 2010 movie, so be sure to check out more original costumes from Alice in Wonderland here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and props.

Personally I love the design of this lightweight 'White Knight' armour because on screen you wonder how someone as tiny as the actress could move so effortlessly in such a heavy suit of armor, but when you see it up close you realize it's all smoke and mirrors and this costume isn't really made from traditional metal at all.

Cruella de Vil's dragon dress costume from 102 Dalmatians...

I've already had the good fortune to see this wonderfully detailed dragon dress, worn by Glenn Close as the infamous Disney villain 'Cruella de Vil' in the live-action 102 Dalmatians, on display at Disney's D23 Expo in 2011.

On my most recent visit to Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank on December 30, 2011, I was able to take a closer look at the elaborate costume as I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of showbiz treasures that were exhibited at the Expo to really take everything in. As they say the devil's in the detail, or is that 'de Vil'.

Anthony Powell was responsible for Costume Design on Disney's live-action movie sequel from 2000, with Rosemary Burrows acting as Costume Supervisor.

The embroidery detail on the dragon muff really is amazing, whilst on this occasion I was also able to glimpse a bit of the sequined dragon dress train (or is that tail?).

Nora Walker dress worn by Sally Field in TV's Brothers & Sisters...

Brothers & Sisters ran for five seasons from 2006 to 2011 on ABC and starred Sally Field as 'Nora Walker', the matriarch of family who live in Pasadena, California, who finds out her husband was cheating on her when he died. The Walkers included three grown sons, plus two daughters and their families, plus illegitimate siblings from their dead father and a whole host of other secrets.

Here's the barnacle encrusted costume the Flying Dutchman crew member wears in Dead Man' Chest and At World's End, on display at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank on December 30, 2011.

Betty White's Grandma Bunny outfit from You Again...

In the 2010 comedy You Again, Kristen Bell discovers the girl who made her life hell in high school is engaged to her brother. Betty White plays her 'Grandma Bunny' in the movie and this is the outfit she wears to the wedding party (which is also featured on the movie poster).

Autographed scrubs from General Hospital on display...

Included in the Walt Disney Archives costume exhibit on my recent visit were these hospital scrubs autographed by the cast of ABC's long running and only remaining daytime soap, General Hospital.

General Hospital became the oldest American daytime soap in 2010 when rival As the World Turns came to an end.

These scrubs which are signed by the likes of Rachel Ames, Anthony Geary, John Ingle, Billy Warlock, Jacklyn Zeman, Linda Dano, Leslie Charleson and more cast members, were photographed on display at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California on December 30, 2011.
