Original Jim Broadbent costume and props from The Borrowers on display...

In 1997's The Borrowers, Jim Broadbent starred as the father of a secret family of four-inch people who lived in the walls and floors of a house under the threat of destruction by an evil real estate developer.

This 'Pod Clock' costume from the movie adaptation of Mary Norton's famous novels was designed by Marie France and was photographed on display at the London Film Museum on May 15, 2012 (although I think the belt is undone at the front of the outfit).

In addition to the costume they also had a large selection of oversized props, like this Toby Jug, from the film on display used to creative the giant-sized world of The Borrowers.

Cruella de Vil costumes and set from 101 and 102 Dalmatians...

Here's more evil inspiration for this Halloween courtesy of these fabulous Anthony Powell costume creations for Disney's live-action 101 and 102 Dalmatians movies, which starred Glenn Close as the iconic 'Cruella de Vil'.

The red and black lambs wool and mink fur coat is from 1996's 101 Dalmatians and the 'Dragon dress' and muff are from the 2000 sequel. If you like the costume on the right, you can see more close-up detail of the ornate Dragon dress from 102 Dalmatians here at Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props.

Another extravagant outfit on display at the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives at The Reagan Library on July 17, 2012, was this cool zebra print Cossack costume. This look worn by the classic fur-loving Disney villain, was exhibited within the House of De Vil room set also featured in the first movie.

Cruella de Vil's 102 Dalmatians flame dress worn by Glenn Close on display...

One of the many highlights of the Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives exhibition at The Reagan Library on July 17, 2012, had to be this exquisite 'flame dress' worn by Glenn Close as the iconic Disney villain 'Cruella de Vil' in 102 Dalmatians.

Anthony Powell designed this magnificent garment for the 2000 live-action sequel and there's no denying its a show-stopping piece.

These are the kinds of costumes I love seeing up close, wonderfully detailed, intricate and flamboyant masterpieces. With the right hair and makeup this would make for a killer Halloween costume, although who am I kidding, even without a wig it would look fabulous.

Evil Queen Narissa costume worn by Susan Sarandon in Enchanted on display...

There's nothing like an evil fairytale queen to kick off the run up to Halloween, so enjoy this amazing costume worn by Susan Sarandon as 'Queen Narissa' in Disney's Enchanted from 2007.

Giselle fairytale gown worn by Amy Adams in Enchanted on display...

In 2007's Enchanted you get the best of both Disney worlds when an cartoon fairytale princess finds herself transported to the real world of New York City. Amy Adams stars as the singing, dancing and dress-making 'Giselle' that can talk to the animals in this funny storybook take on a romantic comedy.
